      Comparing with a continuous-flow prescription?

      Pulse dose delivers oxygen as you inhale; continuous flow runs throughout the breathing cycle. The figures above describe pulse output, so they should not be read as continuous-flow settings. For example, a prescription for 5 L/min continuous flow does not automatically correspond to setting 5 on a portable machine. A clinician should check the model and setting against your needs at rest and during activity.

      What does litres per minute (L/min) mean?

      Litres per minute (L/min or LPM) measures the volume of gas leaving the machine each minute. A continuous-flow setting of 5 L/min supplies five litres of oxygen-enriched gas per minute, including while you breathe out. It does not mean you inhale all five litres; the amount you inhale depends on your breathing and how the oxygen is delivered.

      How does pulse dose compare with continuous flow?

      The E7 delivers a burst of oxygen when you breathe in, reducing oxygen lost while you breathe out. This helps a small portable machine use oxygen efficiently. Its settings 1–7 are pulse levels, with no reliable conversion to continuous-flow litres per minute. Your healthcare team can check which E7 setting meets your needs.

      How quiet is the E7?

      Kingon specifies 37 dB(A) at setting 2. Sound can vary with the setting and surroundings; this figure is not a sound rating for setting 7.

      Can I charge one battery while using the other?

      Yes, with the compatible external battery charger included in Ultimate or available separately. Both packages also include an AC supply and DC car supply for the machine. Follow the manual for charging and battery changes.

      Can I take it on a flight?

      The E7 manual declares conformity with the applicable FAA requirements for carriage and use on board aircraft. Contact your airline before travel for its approval, paperwork and battery requirements.

      Does the Kingon E7 come with a five-year warranty?

      Yes. Your Kingon P2-E7 device comes with a five-year warranty. Rapid Medical handles the device registration for you.

      Can I use the E7 while sleeping?

      We don’t recommend the E7 for nighttime use unless your healthcare team has specifically assessed and prescribed it for sleep. If you are prescribed continuous-flow oxygen at night, use a continuous-flow device. The E7 can be a portable daytime option when its pulse delivery meets your needs.

      Travelling with Lithium Batteries

      This section is only relevant to products with Lithium batteries included. If you product above does not include a lithium battery, please ignore this section as it's universal across our website.

      TRAVELING WITH A OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR
      The FAA allows these device on board most U.S. aircrafts. If they have a FAA approval, they should allow the oxygen concentrator on board with the supply of the MSDS document. Rapid Medical Supplies can provide this upon request.

      IMPORTANT: It is the responsibility of the patient to check with the specific airline carrier when traveling domestically and internationally.

      Just because a oxygen concentrator is FAA approved, does not automatically mean a customer will be allowed to take the machine on the plane. It is up to the discretion of every flight, airline, airline pilot etc if the machines or batteries are allowed to be carried on board.

      When traveling with the device, be sure to bring the AC Power Supply and the External Battery Charger (if you have
      one) with you. It is advisable to use external power (i.e., plugged into a wall) whenever it is available to keep the
      battery fully charged.
      Bring enough charged batteries with you to power your concentrator for no less than 150% of the expected duration of your flight, ground time before and after the flight, security screenings, connections and a conservative
      estimate for unanticipated delays. Note that per FAA regulations, all extra batteries are to be individually wrapped
      and protected to prevent short circuits and carried in carry-on baggage onboard aircraft only.
      The AC Power Supply cannot be used to charge the device battery when onboard aircraft. If traveling by bus, train
      or boat, contact your carrier to find out about power port availability.
